Digimondo builds connector to the IoT ecosystems TTN and TTI

Digimondo GmbH has developed a connector between its Internet of Things (IoT) software niota and The Things Network (TTN) and The Things Industry (TTI). TTN and TTI represent global collaborative Internet-of-Things (IoT) ecosystems based on LoRaWAN. TTN is opensource-based and primarily addresses private users and beginners. TTI is the professional IoT platform for commercial users. Digimondo connects the system worlds with the Connector, which opens up a variety of entry and usage scenarios for its own IoT platform niota.

TTN is backed by an international community with numerous registered LoRaWAN gateways in over 150 countries. The platform can be used free of charge and is aimed in particular at private individuals and companies who want to take their first steps in the IoT sector. Those who want to participate only need to buy sensors and can connect them to an existing or accessible LoRa gateway in TTN's IoT network. Thanks to the new connector, this data can also be received, processed and refined directly in the Digimondo IoT solution niota in the future.

A digital twin with just a few clicks

"The Connector is particularly interesting for customers who already work professionally with TTI and now want to benefit from the advantages of our digital twin in niota," explains Dr Dennis Kolberg, Chief Product Officer at Digimondo. "This means they can continue to work with the existing infrastructure on site, but additionally have access to our software and thus to a professional application layer. This enables municipal utilities, industrial companies and service providers to build a digital twin with just a few clicks and thus digitise or optimise processes in an application-oriented way."

"The IoT world can only exist through cooperation".

Cooperation with other market participants is nothing unusual for Digimondo: "We are an open platform and integrate when it makes sense for customers and us and promises advantages," Kolberg explains the reason for building the connector. "Our credo is that the IoT world can only exist through cooperation." With the Connector, Digimondo removes access barriers to IoT applications and enlarges the circle of potential users of its digital twin. Its added value and attractiveness is that it opens up new digital paths and possibilities in the management of infrastructures and processes.
