Digimondo GmbH and envelio GmbH entered into a partnership in May 2024. The aim of the deeper cooperation: faster and deeper digitization of energy networks in order to accelerate the energy revolution taking place at local level. With the niotix IoT platform, Digimondo acts as a provider of structured real-time operating data from the field. envelio uses this and other data to create a complete digital image of the networks and thus holistically supports network operators with the Intelligent Grid Platform in automating network planning and operation processes. The interface between the two systems has already been developed. The first joint projects with various customers were successfully launched.

Maximum transparency in the network

A typical application of the combined use of both platforms is the implementation of Section 14a EnWG — i.e. dimming consumer devices in the power grid when there is an imminent overload. But processes such as network connection testing, network planning and simulation, and network monitoring and control are also being raised to a new level. Central benefit in all cases: By combining infrastructure and movement data and their structured processing and provision, network operators gain maximum transparency about the load situation and can safely and intelligently control the network during dynamic energy transition times.

“Power grids become smart grids”

Digimondo managing director Christopher Rath: “The cooperation between Digimondo and envelio is a perfect match between two companies whose solutions are among the market leaders. By intelligently combining master and transaction data, the necessary transparency and ability to act is created in modern network management. Together, we ensure that power grids become smart grids. ”

“Partnerships are driving the energy revolution”

Lara Lapotnikoff, Head of Sales DACH at envelio: “The collaboration with Digimondo shows how important innovative partnerships are for digitizing energy networks. By integrating the measured values from niotix into our Intelligent Grid Platform, distribution system operators receive the necessary real-time data to optimally monitor and control their networks. This partnership is another example of how cooperation can drive the energy revolution forward.”

About Digimondo
Digimondo GmbH was founded in 2016 by software experts with the vision of making the world more efficient, sustainable and better with the Internet of Things (IoT). The Digimondo team develops IoT software systems and enables its customers to implement their own IoT solutions themselves. A total of more than 100 network operators use the IoT software solutions. As an IoT pioneer in Germany, the Digimondo team has several years of experience in implementing IoT projects, in particular with a focus on the energy and utility industries. The niotix IoT platform developed in-house is the key to the successful implementation of proof of concepts, projects at all levels of scale and global roll-out. By implementing a specially developed digital twin in niotix, Digimondo customers will be able to use the full potential of IoT data and information from other sources.
