System Administrator – On-Prem Software Deployment & Support (m/w/d)

Your tasks

We are looking for a passionate System Administrator for our headquarters in Hamburg:

  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of our software in on-premises systems at customer sites
  • Management and troubleshooting of deployments in Linux-based environments
  • Working with containerized environments, particularly Docker, for application deployment and support
  • Diagnosis and resolution of issues related to networking, connectivity, and system performance
  • Providing technical advice and support to customers—both remotely and on-site as needed
  • Collaborating with internal teams to improve deployment workflows and documentation
  • Maintaining accurate records of installations, updates, and support requests

Your profile

  • Strong service orientation and customer focus
  • Proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail
  • Confident working independently and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Proven experience as a system administrator, DevOps engineer, or in a similar IT role
  • In-depth practical knowledge of Linux administration (e.g., system services, logs, file systems, CLI tools)
  • Solid understanding of Docker containerization and container-based deployment workflows
  • Network expertise (TCP/IP, firewalls, routing, VPNs, DNS, load balancing)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and support skills, including the ability to convey technical topics in an understandable way

Beneficial

  • Experience with cloud environments, ideally AWS
  • Familiarity with automation and scripting tools (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible)
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration systems
  • Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices
  • Experience with enterprise environments and IT security standards
