Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (m/w/d)

Your tasks

To strengthen our R&D team at our Hamburg location, we are looking for you to join us full-time as a dedicated Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, starting immediately.

  • Design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud architectures on AWS, including networking, infrastructure automation, and application deployment.
  • Technical consulting: Support and optimization of digimondo's internal cloud infrastructure and advising our customers on best practices for their own environments.
  • Analysis and resolution of complex challenges in the areas of infrastructure, networking, and deployments.
  • Automation of infrastructure and software deployment with AWS CDK, Helm, and Docker on Kubernetes (EKS).
  • Close collaboration with software development and product teams to increase performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Implementation and maintenance of best practices for security, networking, and monitoring in production systems.

Your profile

  • In-depth, hands-on experience with Linux, AWS, and Kubernetes (EKS).
  • Strong understanding of networking, containerization, and infrastructure automation.
  • Experience with AWS CDK and familiarity with core AWS services such as IAM, EC2, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience provisioning and managing infrastructure with CDK and Helm.
  • Good knowledge of databases such as SQL and InfluxDB.
  • Degree in computer science, engineering, or a comparable field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven ability to design, build, and operate cloud-native software systems.

Beneficial

  • Programming experience with JavaScript, Elixir, or similar languages.
  • Experience with Elastic (Elasticsearch/OpenSearch), Grafana, or Matomo.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and IT security best practices (IAM, encryption, certificate and key management).
  • Experience working directly with customers or external partners.
