The implementation of §14a EnWG is currently one of the most urgent operational tasks for network operators: Controllable consumer devices must be managed in a network-oriented manner. This is done under time pressure, with high regulatory responsibility and in a low-voltage network that is not sufficiently transparent in many places. At E-world energy & water 2026, Hall 5, Booth F126, Digimondo and Janitza will be presenting an integrated solution: High-resolution measurement data meets a central, interoperable network data platform.

In practice, the biggest hurdle is not the will to digitize, but the question of how data from heterogeneous sources can be used efficiently and economically without creating new dependencies or data silos. Niotix was developed exactly for this purpose: The platform integrates measurement and status data from different systems and technologies, standardizes and qualifies them, and automatically makes them ready for existing target systems. This makes niotix the backbone of scalable network digitization, technology-open, interoperable and future-proof from a regulatory perspective.

While Janitza's GridVis® energy management software provides high-resolution measurement data and enables analyses of energy efficiency and power quality, niotix, as a central data hub, ensures that these can be used across data systems. The integration supports central requirements in the §14a context, including data integration into existing systems, real-time monitoring, efficient processing of mass data and standardized operating processes.

“Network operators and public utilities must make more and more data from equipment, sensors and meters efficiently usable, across systems and without a new lock in effects. We can't afford data cemeteries in the energy revolution,” says Christopher Rath, CEO of Digimondo. “niotix creates an interoperable platform that supports regulatory requirements and at the same time lays the basis for scalable network processes. ”

“Scaling is not a vision, but a living practice: Individual network operators are already using niotix to process several hundred thousand data points from network operations and reach a total of several hundred million data inputs per day,” adds Marcus Walena, CTO of Digimondo.

Especially in the context of §14a EnWG, the availability of qualified network data plays a central role. As a network data platform, niotix enables structured processing of real-time data, creates transparency in the low-voltage network and provides network data for network-oriented control decisions, regardless of the hardware or communication technology used. Despite close integration with GridVis®, Niotix consistently remains technology-open and hardware-independent.
